COVID-19 Update

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Face masks are required in all common areas inside the buildings
  • No recreational activities are allowed in any common area as per the House Rules, no exceptions
  • If you feel sick, stay at home, seek medical advice, get tested

** Residents and Visitors – FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED IN ALL COMMON AREAS  **

Per a recent Honolulu Police Department bulletin to Honolulu condominiums, HPD has received several complaints regarding individuals not wearing masks in common areas of residential buildings.  The Second Amendment to the Emergency Order states (as of July 14, 2020): “All individuals within the City shall wear face coverings while indoors in public spaces, including, but not limited to enclosed common areas of commercial and residential buildings.”  If a violation is reported and the complainant will meet with HPD, officers will take enforcement action at that time.  So PLEASE do your part to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by wearing a face covering in common areas.

Swimming Pool and Pool Area:

  • Pool to remain on a reservation only access level through August 15
  • The pool is open to residents on a “reservation only” basis, 8am – 7pm
  • Limit 1 hour per visit per day
  • Residents only – no guests please
  • To make a reservation please contact the building manager by phone or text (808-551-9467)

Laundry Rooms:

  • Please maintain social distance of 6 feet in laundry rooms
  • If someone is in the laundry room, please wait outside until they exit before you enter the area
  • For your safety, hand sanitizer dispensers have been placed in all laundry rooms

The Diamond Head Sands Association of Apartment Owners have taken enhanced health and safety measures to protect you, our residents and apartment owners.  It is important that you follow all posted instructions while residing in or visiting the condo complex.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present.  COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and even death.  According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and people with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. 

By residing in, or visiting Diamond Head Sands, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.  Let’s help keep each other healthy.  Mahalo
